What is the EPC Coast Run?

The Earle Page College Coast Run has been a permanent fixture on the College calendar for 38 consecutive years. It depicts Earle Page’s commitment to servicing the wider community and helping those who aren’t as fortunate as we are. Over the past 38 years Earle Page students have raised more than $470,000 for the Children’s Medical Research Institute (CMRI).

There are a number of fundraising events which are held throughout the year which contribute to the grand total donated to the CMRI. All fundraising events are organised and run by the Coast Run Committee, which is a group of students who are selected by the Coast Run Convener and the Head of College.

There is a number of fundraising event’s through the duration of the year, some minor and some major. Major Fundraising events raise include:

  • Parents Weekend Auction
  • Fashion Parade
  • Inter-College Great Soccer Game
  • Coast Run Goes Bush
  • Open Mic Night
  • Discount Card
  • Double Denim Party

Of course, the biggest fundraising event is the annual “Coast Run”, where approximately 40 Earle Page residents┬árun relay-style from the front of college, finishing at the Coffs Harbour Jetty. The “Dream Team” runs 5km stints, and the Committee and other runners run 1km stints at a time. Adding to a total of 220kms, this is an extremely rewarding experience for all, in support of an amazing cause.
